NordVPN’s No-Logs Policy Verified for the Third Time

The popular VPN service provider has completed a third independent assurance engagement to verify its no-logs claim...

NordVPN No-Logs Policy Verified

NordVPN has already been audited a few times in the past, but that apparently is not enough. They keep doing that to attract new users with a promise of making their Internet whereabouts more private.

In that sense, the company recently completed a third independent assurance engagement to verify its no-logs claim. And as this latest assurance confirms again, NordVPN does not monitor user activity under any circumstances.

Assurance report highlights

NordVPN has engaged Deloitte, which is one of the biggest auditing firms in the world, to audit our no-logs claim independently. And here are a few things you should know:

  • An in-depth review. The engagement process involved interviews with NordVPN employees, as well as inspections of server configuration, technical logs, and other servers on NordVPN’s infrastructure. The tests included the company’s Obfuscated, Double VPN, Standard VPN, Onion Over VPN, and P2P servers.
  • A point-in-time assessment. The assurance engagement was performed from November 21 to December 10, 2022. This is important because the practitioners can only report on what they saw when they were given access to NordVPN’s services.
  • The results. During that point in time, the practitioners saw no signs that NordVPN in any way violated its no-logs promises. Just like the last assurance engagement and the one before that, these results underline NordVPN’s commitment to user privacy.

And if you want to know more, you can access the full report from here.

Why was the third examination needed?

The company did this to emphasize the quality of its service further. In other words, users need to know that they can trust NordVPN.

If you’re going to use a VPN service, you need to know that it won’t track what you’re doing online. You need to have confidence in the security and effectiveness of the VPN’s features and infrastructure. That’s what the audit process is all about.

And by engaging a trusted and independent Big Four firm, they hope to reassure users that NordVPN will always uphold a robust no-logs policy.

So, if you still don’t have a VPN…
