High Fidelity

High Fidelity is a great show despite the fact Hulu hasn’t renewed it for the second season. Considering all the great reviews the series has received, we’re not sure why that’s the case – but what do we know.

Well, we do know one thing – how to help users from all around the world watch Hulu shows, High Fidelity being just one of them. And that’s what this article is all about. Read on for details…

What’s High Fidelity all about?

High Fidelity is a romantic comedy TV series, based on the 1995 novel of the same name by Nick Hornby, which premiered on Hulu on February 14, 2020. In August 2020, however, it was canceled after one season.

The series follows “the ultimate music fan, a record store owner who’s obsessed with pop culture and Top Five lists” in the neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

High Fidelity main cast and characters include:

  • Zoë Kravitz as Rob, the owner of Championship Vinyl who struggles with a lifetime of failed relationships.
  • Jake Lacy as Clyde
  • Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Cherise, an employee at Championship Vinyl and one of Rob’s best friends
  • David H. Holmes as Simon, an employee at Championship Vinyl and Rob’s other best friend who is also Rob’s heartbreak story #3.

On Rotten Tomatoes, High Fidelity holds an 86% approval rating with 70 reviews, with an average rating of 7.79/10. “Though it skips the occasional beat, High Fidelity’s fresh take on a familiar track is as witty as it is emotionally charged, giving the charming and curmudgeonly Zoe Kravitz plenty of room to shine,” the website’s critical consensus states.

On Metacritic, it has a weighted average score of 70 out of 100, based on 28 critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews”.

How to watch High Fidelity online in the US?

High Fidelity is available on Hulu, allowing users — those in the U.S. — to enjoy it on all their devices. As expected, a Hulu subscription is required which brings along access to many other great movies and TV shows.

The problem, however, emerges when you want to watch Hulu from other countries. Then, you’ll need a VPN in order to trick Hulu’s servers into thinking that you’re in the U.S. whereas you can be just about anywhere. And that’s what the next section is all about…

How to watch High Fidelity from all around the world?

If you live in Canada, you can watch High Fidelity on Starz, and in Australia – on ABC iview and ABC Comedy. Local stations in other parts of the world may have also picked up the show, but we would argue that you’re best off watching it on Hulu with a VPN (cause you’ll get to access all other content that is available there, as well).

For non-Americans, the easiest way to get a Hulu subscription is with a Hulu gift card. You can get one from MyGiftCardSUPPLY. At that site, you can also find gift cards for many other media streaming services.

Once you have a Hulu account, you can consume as much content as you want from any place in the world. Just fire-up that VPN, connect to a US-based server and you’re good to go.

A VPN offers much more…

High Fidelity is a great show but you shouldn’t get a VPN just to watch that one show; cause a VPN has much more to offer…

For instance, it will let you anonymously surf the web so that the Big Tech and government agencies can’t know “what you did last summer.”

Furthermore, a good VPN will also let you access other streaming services such as US Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, BBC iPlayer and so on. Plus, it will encrypt all your online data to shield you from hackers and spies — which is important when connecting to public Wi-Fi hotspots.

A VPN app can be installed on pretty much all devices, with the best services also coming with the router support so you could protect your entire network. This in turn will also make devices like smart TVs, gaming consoles and streaming boxes that much more secure.

We live in complicated times and we think everyone should have a VPN these days. And if you’re into streaming services like Hulu, we suggest you start with our list of Best VPNs for Streaming and take it from there. Good luck! 😉
